I Hate Men by Pauline Harmange

fast-paced

I didn't find the book to be that controversial and I would summarise it by saying "we hate men as a social group and can like individual men". It all comes from the build up of frustration and anger that comes from existing as a woman.

It doesn't feel groundbreaking or anything to read but I have respect for the shock factor of the book that has started so mamy conversations.

It's very short and there's clear lack of depth when it comes to discussing people of color and trans people. I think the author would herself admit to this as this essay is written entirely from her own experiences as a white woman in a straight relationship.
