This book as a good job in examining trend of militarization and law enforcement.  I found the history of this phenomenon interesting, and the author did a good job in connecting it all to the war on drugs.  This book was given a 4 star rating because of the large amount of repetition and the old data.  It would be interesting to see an updated version of this book.
