4.5 stars. I was avoiding picking this up because I knew it was more vampire focused. And I don't like the vampires in this series as much. So it was a bit slow in those parts where it was solely focused on them for me. But I like the relationship developments, Wulf will always be interesting, and the various politics between the species is interesting as well. I had forgotten what happened with Sam. I don't know I'm sick so this review is lacklustre but I really liked this book.
