You don't have to be a horse lover to appreciate the beauty in Maggie Stiefvater's stand alone novel. I have not read her previous writings, but if they are anything like this they are magical and well worth the read.

I was immediately drawn into the quaint world Stiefvater paints and could almost see it in my mind. The characters were vivid and realistic and the story so full of heart that I felt along with the characters.

I would have given it five stars were it written for an older generation, but for being a young adult novel, this is fantastic. I will from now on count this as one of my favorite works of literature. Well done and I loved it.
