Music of the Night
by Angela J. Ford
I personally love Phantom of the Opera dynamics, and I dislike how the Phandom made an obviously disturbed and psychotic individual into their "meow-meow". He got the "Loki Treatment".
However, this book is NOT that. The book establishes some level of a healthy relationship between the "Phantom" and the "Christine" of the story, and BOY let me tell you, Ford can write fantastic romantic tension. I really enjoyed this book and also, finally, a healthy retelling of Phantom of the Opera.
I did choose to remove a star because the book says it's "steamy" but it only had like 2 vague sex scenes and everything came to a head in the last 10-ish percent. Otherwise this was a wonderful weekend read and I'll be continuing with the series!
