Sybil Leek: Out of the Shadows
by Christine Jones
I was fascinated to read about a famous witch who lived and died where I grew up and still live, but this book isn't really about her. It's more about the author's experience of meeting her. At the end of the book, the author shines a bad light on Sybil, calling her pathetic, childish, and saying Sybil brainwashed her and others, and also ruined lives. I knew nothing about Sybil when I read this book. I thought I'd be reading about an amazing woman, but I didn't. I don't know if this is my fault or the author's fault. Maybe it's the subject's fault, I don't know. I was disappointed with the book as well as the person the book is about.
