As a chronically ill young queer person, i identified with this book deeply. The way chronic illness and chronic pain modulates and impacts every aspect of of our lives, specifically our relationships with friends, family, and romantic and or sexual partners, is something that is not always talked about and reflected upon. This book made me feel seen and heard. Written in a way that completely immerses you in the character’s experience, this book made me reflect on all my insecurities and how my conditions impacted my relationship in ways I have not even consciously realised. 

Being a young person is hard, living with a chronic illness is hard, being a queer person is hard, for god sake being a person is hard 😅, but the people we meet and impact along the way are what makes it worth it.
