blairconrad 's review for:
August Into Winter
by Guy Vanderhaeghe
Sucked me in. I really wanted to find out what happened to our heroes. As usual, Mr. Vanderhaeghe makes us work a little as we read; the vocabulary is a little out of the ordinary. It's been a long time since I read one of his works, but I think I felt a little less emotionally attached to people in this book than in previous ones, but still, not bad!
A star docked mostly due to the extreme boringness (and smaller font! don't make me work harder to read the worst parts of the book) of Dov's journal.
