This was my second read of Only a Monster and it was just an incredible as the first! I flew through it in a couple of hours.
Joan stays with her mother’s eccentric side of the family every summer. She loves her volunteer job and the boy she met there! Until one day she finds out that what her Gran has always meant when she said they’re a family of monsters. They have an interesting but horrifying power and the boy isn’t as he seems on the surface, so her life quickly unravels.
Joan has to work with a member from an opposing monster family to find out how to save her own.
Adventures through time, star crossed lovers, hero’s and monsters and a healthy dose of family secrets! What’s not to love?!
Re-read complete. Now I can’t wait to dive into book 2!
