This book is like a warm plate of pancit, with thick plot lines, interspersed sour and sweet moments, a lingering home made tang and a few surprises of its sleeve. The plot really took an unexpected turn for me with the development of Hero’s love story. The best parts were the author’s prosaic chapters, felt more lyrical than the rest of the book.
