King of Wrath
by Ana Huang
Ana Huang writes a very specific type of book, and a lot of the time, it's a reuse and recycle scenario; all of her books tend to be somewhat the same, with an alphahole, certain tropes and lots of smut. This book is no exception. While this might bother some people, I am not one of them. The Twisted series is one of my favorites, so I was so excited for this brand new series, in which this first book features two side characters from the Twisted series who now have their very own story. Dante and Vivian were introduced to us in Twisted Lies, and you could definitely feel the tension and chemistry jump off the pages in that book, so knowing they are the main couple in King of Wrath was something I couldn't wait to read. This book did not disappoint. Dante is your typical alphahole, an older, hot billionaire guy who enters into an arranged marriage with Vivian for his own personal gain. Neither Dante nor Vivian really care for each other at all from the get go but this quickly changes due to them getting to know each other and of course, because of their close proximity. Vivian is an heiress and wants to please her family, but I truly loved how she came into her own and stood up to her family and did not let them dictate her life. I wasn't a huge fan of the actual conflict (lying/deceit really kind of irks me) but it's worth it solely because we get Dante and Vivian falling in love out of it, and some top tier groveling, so I was living for it. Of course, I have to mention the smut because you already know Ana Huang puts her all into those scenes. What goes down in that limo? DRIVER ROLL UP THE PARTITION PLEASE! Overall, this is another winner for me and I highly recommend.
P.S. I'm SO READY for Kai and Isabella's story. I may not make it to this release date because it is so far away and I need it now.
