What a mind blowing ending to this book! I've been listening to the audio versions on Libby and there are no more past 8, so at first I thought this was the end of the whole series. It would have worked too, there was that air of mystery still, but a semi-firm conclusion as well. I'm intrigued to see what the rest of the series will bring and might have to visit my library soon.

I really like how much excitement and revelations were going on in this volume of the series. There are so many twists and turns and shocks. You're on the edge of your seat the whole time.

I feel like some of the parents that I had come to hate in the series got a bit of redemption in this book by showing, FINALLY, that they actually did care about their children and want the best for them.
