Dragon Ball Super, Vol. 3: Zero Mortal Project!
by Akira Toriyama
This is actually pretty damn entertaining even if follows a lot of the same beats as Z.
So Trunks comes back from the future to warn Goku and the others about a new villain. BLACK GOKU. So yes...his name is very original. But come on, we got Vegeta's kids named after trunks and bras, so...lolz. Anyway Black Goku has destroyed Future Trunks timeline or least taken over. It's kind of what he does. So Goku and Vegeta decide they're going to teach this little punk a lesson.
The battle scenes are pretty great here, and Vegeta finally gets to show off his fighting style again. I also thought there was some great freaking funny moments, one involving Goku not ever Kissing anyone. I think the pacing works though some scenes are very heavy exposition explaining the gods structure and stuff that tend to go on a little too long.
Overall, while this is only half of the full arc, it still is pretty entertaining. Hoping this series continues to be fun. A 3.5 out of 5.
