The Five-Star Weekend
by Elin Hilderbrand
It’s a good book. I was interested in how events developed through the weekend and it kept me reading even though I can’t relate to any of those friendships. I wouldn’t be able to do a 5-star weekend for myself because I’ve never had a female best friend in any stage of life. My husband is my only best friend.
I was surprised with Brooke’s revelation about herself but happy for her to be finding her true self. The other women’s outcomes were predictable though. I was disappointed with the development of Hollis’ and Jack’s relationship too. I was hoping for something else for Hollis. Why does it seem we always have the teenage sweethearts ending together?
I would have loved to have read about Electra being put in her place!!
