Finale
by Stephanie Garber
I've seen a lot of mixed opinions about this book (and the series as a whole). I don't know if I entirely agree with all of the criticism because I truly had fun reading these books and following the storyline from beginning to end. I do think the characters grow on you after every book and the deepening of relationships (and love triangles!) made me feel more and more invested each time.
It was great to learn more about the fates and the mythology behind the magic in the series. The last book left me wanting to know more about the Deck of Destiny and the fates, and this book delivered in that regard. I can't help thinking Scarlett got the best fated objects - the enchanted gown and the reverie key. And Julian's gift of the gloves at the end of the book made my heart smile.
I think if you're looking for a fun series to read that has magic, romance, action, puzzles, and a bit of sadness, this is a good series for you.
