There are poems and lines in there that I think are just brutally raw and will stay with me, but there are also parts where I just thought, okay, I get it, dicks. Whatever.
Ginsberg is a very contested figure in general and I'm never quite sure how to feel about his writing. But I'm glad I gave this a try, I can recommend his readings of Howl for a more immersive experience as well.
