Ending left on a cliffhanger that makes me want to keep going. I liked that this book had short chapters but I was thrown off a bit of what time period or realm this takes place in? Like it wanted to be fantasy but I felt like conversations felt modern some times and then fantasyesque another time. I don't even know if that makes sense but the writing tone felt off.
