a really quiet book about the awful, awful things humans are willing to do to each other. i think this is one of those books i'll enjoy even more on a second read as many characters weave in and out of the stories. note, though, this is an incredibly graphic book. i can also defintely see that han kang orignated as a poet, so i really liked the prose here.
