Enjoyed this book, in that way you enjoy something even when the topics are challenging topics like abuse, trauma, and colonialism. I feel like I'm leaving this book with more tools in my own toolbox.

It gave me a lot to think about, a memoir with a lot of other related information and history and thoughtful analysis woven throughout. The final chapter was a really worthwhile exercise.
