The Weird Sisters
by Eleanor Brown
Recommended by Susie, Jo and Ellen
Ellen's review: This was a gentle examination of the relationships of three sisters, who admit they love each other but don't like each other very much. The girls, Rosalind, Bianca and Cordelia are the daughters of an English professor in a small liberal arts college located in a small town in Ohio. Their mother's cancer diagnosis has brought the three 30 something sisters back home and each one brings issues which must be resolved.
I enjoyed the family dynamics, their subtle bickering and their attitudes about being home again. This would make an excellent book for book clubs. Lots of substance and issues with which most women of a certain age can relate.
