I really liked this. The worldbuilding is fascinating and (after a hiccup or two in the first few chapters) nicely trickled in throughout. the characters are absolutely charming. In general I would die for a disaster bisexual and this book very much delivers. The plot was exciting & action packed, with magical issues, dinosaur-like megafauna, climate fiction themes and mysteries to solve. 

what do you call himbo with a heart of gold x slightly evil but for the best reasons x external martyr as a trope?? That’s what this is. I am absolutely rooting for a book 2 throuple (please. PLEASE.) 

Felt like if Silver Under Nightfall was less romance-focused and mixed with mad max: fury road instead of Castlevania. Very fun.
