So I'm not sure why I waited so long to read anything by Diana Wynne Jones (stubbornness? An everlong to-read list?) Either way, Gail Carriger told the world that this was her idea of a perfect book, and I'm inclined to agree. Maybe it was just what I needed at this time, but I loved every minute of it.
