This one made me a little misty. A cat is sort of collectively owned and loved by a neighborhood (thus the different names), but he hasn't visited one house on the street. When he does, he finds a little lady who spends her days watching TV and playing solitaire. Bringing the cat into her home, she finally meets the community surrounding her when they start to worry where the cat is. Happy ending for all!

I also have to give bonus points for the lovely illustrations AND the matte paper. I love matte paper. Such a nice tactile experience, and no silly glares from overhead lights. I haven't read this yet to my daughter (5), but will soon!
