It is always challenging to describe reading the books by Susan Orlean. Several non-fiction tales wrap and spin together to create a sum greater than its parts. This is a love letter to libraries - the books, the spaces, but more importantly the passionate people that advocate for humanity and keep the records of its history. This was a delicious, interesting read for me as a school librarian who has also briefly worked in a public library setting.
