Bonus marks for lots of original ideas and a good mix of urban and fantasy; on the whole enjoyable. Something was a little lacking and I can't quite put my finger on it, I think perhaps the characters themselves were a little flat or dull or maybe I just missed having a bit more humour. Either way I'm hopeful about book 2.
