Something Like Love
by Sara Richardson
ARC received from publisher via Netgalley for an honest review
This is the second book in the Heart Of The Rockies series, but the first that I have read. But this could be read as a standalone and I did not feel that I was missing anything by not reading the first book.
Oh Ben and Paige <3
They have a little history - not great history - but there is that spark, that attraction from the minute they are on the page together. There is this push/pull between them... Ben wants Paige, Paige pushes him away.
They both have something holding them back, but when there is the connection that these two have, nothing is going to stop it.
They push each other to become better people, to chase their dreams, to no let anyone stand in their way. And you can feel the characters blossom under it all.
I adored the secondary characters - well, most of them, most of the time! The could put light into the darkest of hours. The fiercest defenders, but the harshest critics. No one can tell it to you like it is like your closest friends.
Ms Richardson has a way with the imagery. I could almost see myself hiking the mountains (pfff yeah like I would really do that lol), wandering the ranch, watching the stars at night.
But can they overcome all the obstacles before them to get their HEA?
This is my first Sara Richardson read, but I will be going back to read the first in this series, and will definitely be reading the next book when it comes out.
