The Green Mile, Part 6: Coffey on the Mile
by Stephen King
adventurous
dark
emotional
mysterious
sad
The final installment is really the best. I shed a tear when I first read it, I shed a tear again today when I concluded the reread. I had forgotten the final description of the events in Alabama. Gives the story a darker, more realistic ending than the excellent film version, IMHO. This reread cements The Green Mile as a definite top ten favorite in the King canon.
