4 Stars: Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus

In her anticipated sophomore book, McManus brings us to Echo Ridge. Here teenage girls no missing and never come back. Twins Ellery and Ezra are here to live with their grandma after their mother enters rehab. After not being here for long, Ellery finds herself and two other girls being threatened. Everyone in Echo Ridge is hiding something, but who is the responsible party.

What I Loved: After being underwhelmed with One of Us is Lying, I went into this one a little uneasy. Fortunately, I was caught up in the story immediately. The plot, though somewhat cheap horror movie like, was fast paced and kept you guessing. Unlike her first book, the blossoming relationship in this one did not drag the plot to a dragging halt. It was almost a complete sub plot that the book could have done with or without, but it did no damage to the actual plot. The ending was well done and the very last line of the book was absolutely perfect!

What I Did Not Love: I wish Ezra would have had a little more spotlight. I feel his character kind of got the shaft here.
