An amazing bookish friend of mine, Kendra, recommended this because she just absolutely loves it. I really enjoyed Lumberjanes, and this was supposed to be basically an older Lumberjanes. Unfortunately, this comic fell short for me, although I know others will probably absolutely enjoy it.
With Lumberjanes I found it funny and charming and different, but unfortunately, with Giant Days, it just felt like we were following normal girls in their normal lives. Which is great! If that's what you're looking for. However, I've realized that I go to comics and books for escapism often, which means that stuff like this isn't really what gets to me.
There's nothing inherently wrong with this comic and I know so many people will absolutely love it. Unfortunately, it wasn't really for me.
