I loved this book. I didn't know anything about the woman that wrote one of my very favourite books and now...I'm even more blown away that she created such a positive character. A thoroughly researched, captivating biography read. Never dry, full of all the little parts that make it both a biography of an incredibly talented writer and a portrait of a time long gone.
