Wow… where do I even start with The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue? This book was an experience. It’s such a slow burn, but in the best, most immersive way — the kind of story you just sink into. VE Schwab’s writing is lyrical and absolutely beautiful; every page felt like poetry.

Addie’s relationship with Luc?? So toxic… but also, heartbreakingly real. When you’ve been alone for centuries, I get why she’s drawn to him. The loneliness just seeps off the page. And the concept of being forgotten by everyone you meet, except for one day a year? It hit me so hard. The words “I remember you” carry so much weight when you’re basically a ghost of a person.

The non-linear timeline kept me completely hooked, and let me just say — the way I consumed this book??? I devoured it. I loved it so much. 5 stars, no question.

Addie might be cursed to be forgotten, but she’s truly an unforgettable character. A life no one will remember, but a story you’ll never forget. This is one of the most unique and gorgeously woven books I’ve ever read. I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.
