The second installment of The Maze Runner series was certainly a rollercoaster for me. I would say the first third of the book had me on the edge of my seat, with Dashner ending every chapter on a cliff hanger. The middle hit a bit of a lull but I still had some questions, and the last third, again, had me on the edge of my seat. There are a good number of times that while I was reading I was wondering why the hell Thomas didn’t absolutely go baserk on other people. I just imagined myself in his shoes giving so many beat downs it’s insane to me how he just keeps his composure.
I was suspicious of Brenda pretty much from the get go and I am super invested in learning her role in all of this since apparently they can talk in their minds like Tom and Teresa. Speaking of the devil, I’m getting absolute whiplash from Teresea’s back and forth, and the betrayal plot line. Is she bad or not?! I can’t wait to read the next book in July. I need Newt and Minho back in my life. ❤️
Also, someone please tell me to stop watching movie adaptations immediately after finishing their book counterpart...it only ever leads to disappointment.
