They love each other soooooo much that they'rewilling to die for each other

and do

yet 70% of this book is miscommunication
They've been dating for weeks (WEEKS I TELL YOU) and can't live without each other.
She's 19 and took her 20-something year old murdering man in charge of a bunch of killers to a school dance. A SCHOOL DANCE.
I am alternately tickled and annoyed by every character. 
I'll probably read book three to see how the end of this one is resolved.

and to see if they both manage to get themselves killed AGAIN. and to figure out what happened to her dad cuz he just sort of disappeared AGAIN
