Please Don't Grab My P#$$y
by Laura Collins, Julia Young, Matt Harkins
I had such hopes for this book and they have all been dashed. It’s a parody picture book with instructions on what Donald Trump can grab, ending each section with “please don’t grab my” euphemism for vagina. The first stanzas on page one are great, but after that it is just a mess. The author tries to rhyme, but with no cadence. Her main effort is to rhyme the euphemisms with other words such as tush and bush, cushy - pussy, Carolina - vagina, computer -cooter, and so on. Those rhyme at lines 2 and 4 of each stanza, and many are a strained rhyme. But then lines 1 and 3 are utter nonsense. They kind of go with what is being talked about in a free association type of way, but not in a meaningful or purposeful way. Plus, why does the author feel the need to tell the reader to help her get instagram followers. Or for particular people to unfollow her. Just ugh. What a waste. If I had to compare this book to Trump himself, this would be his hair; Overly stylized with no real purpose or meaning.
