A charming book about magic and friendship and love and freedom and New York a hundred years ago and strangers and free will and immigration.
I really liked a few of the characters in the book, especially the Golem and Rabbi Meyer. Others I maybe didn't like as much, but enjoyed seeing them and how their personalities all fit together. Sure, maybe some aren't fleshed out as well as they could be, but for what is ultimately a fairy tale, they served their purpose well enough.
