American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
1.0

I can't think of one thing I liked about this one. If it didn't feel like it was a 5000 page textbook that I was forced to read in college I think I could have liked it. There were moments where it got good, and became a page turner the it would just stop. These moments occurred when it seemed like Bateman was going to be caught. But somehow, he didn't. He tortured and killed countless prostitutes; killed a co-worker and even shot a cop in the face, on the street and NOTHING. He told friends/coworkers that he killed people... no one believed him. Clearly, he is a psycho (hence the name) but come on! I was just frustrated with the whole thing. It took me three weeks to get this one down. THREE WEEKS! That's unheard of. I swear if I hear about one more Armani suit, Rolex watch or Ray-Ban sunglasses... I'm going to scream.

I saw the movie years ago and I think I remember liking it. I think I need to watch it again and see if it's as awful as the book was. Pretty disappointed in this one.
