Another stunning installment of the Ledgendborn series!

I usually don’t like an amnesia plot line, but it was done well here. Still a little frustrating and contrived but it worked for the plot

I’m usually pretty good a seeing the plot twists coming, but Deon has a way of shocking me even when all the bread crumbs are there.

There were a couple of transitions that I think weren’t don’t the best. Like I had to go over the a few time to figure out how we got from point a to point b. Also things got a little hot and heavy for a YA book. And again the love triangle remains the least interesting part of the series (though it’s much less prevalent in this book
given that everyone in it spends 75% or more apart from each other
) like seriously we are talking about saving women from human trafficking and modern day slavery, so I feel like flirtations can WAIT!

I felt Sel’s absence from the story WAY more than I felt Nick’s absence from the last book.

William remains one of my favorite characters. He’s just a darling! Also can we fix Alice already?! I am so stressed out for me and I miss her!

I love our new characters. The twins are lovely. So help me if anything happens to them I will cry. (Tracy, please don’t take that as a challenge! I’m delicate!) and I love being able to explore the with the root crafters more and getting to know them. Valek is such a cool character and he’s used to well for the story! I want way more of him!

That ending! The implications of it all! The chance for the story to come full circle from all the way back in Arthur’s time!! The next book cannot come out soon enough!!
