This book was definitely not what I was expecting at first. This story is about 18 year old Bruce Wayne, before Batman is even a thought in his head. He’s recently inherited his family’s money and billionaires around Gotham are dropping like flies. A group called the Nightwalkers are involved and Bruce is on their list of targets.
Overall I really enjoyed this book but there was one of two things that really bothered me that I’m starting to find ridiculous in young adult books. The Bruce Wayne in most Batman stories/movies I know is a intelligent, over confident, and quite the player. He was almost none of that in this book and he allowed a girl to cloud his judgment and turn him into an idiot. I like Batman and was really hoping he would seem like a total badass and I felt like this book was missing something.
Maybe that’s just me though.
