This one was definitely missing what made the first book a 5 star read for me.
Overall the book was very enjoyable, fast paced, and entertaining. You see a lot of change in some characters while you see very little in others. The overall plot of the series was very well developed in this book but I thought it was unnecessarily long. There were some parts with Harte and Esta that weren’t really necessary.
I loved the ending though and couldn’t believe I didn’t make the connection soon, though I thought it should have been obvious once it was revealed.
Can’t wait to read the next book!
