Morbidly Yours
by Ivy Fairbanks
Sweet, generally enjoyable, and I liked both main characters. I think this was at its worst when it was trying to force itself to be a cultural exchange (when has any woman from Austin ever shouted remember the Alamo before charging off somewhere? why is the first third of this not just set in Ireland, which is fine and interesting, but really aggressively giving you cuiural lessons instead of just being culturally correct? it’s weird 🤷) and at its best when it just let the MCs connect on a human level.
Still, I liked the exploration of the MMC’s demisexuality, as well as the fact that he has a stutter and it’s not made to be a big deal.
Inconsistent pacing, with it picking up to be really enjoyable around 40-80% and some nice epilogues, but the remaining sections a little too slow and repetitive.
