A Kingdom of Blood and Magic by Chiara Forestieri is the next book you should read if you love books with dark adult fantasy, fated mates, vampires, faes, gods, blood magic, enemies to lovers, found family, prophecy, spice, a love triangle, banter, and multiple povs. 

The FMC Mareina, is a royal assassin who is sent to kill MMC Nakoa, who she finds out is her fated mate. There is a love triangle between Nakoa, Mareina, and her best friend Malekai. If you like spice, there is plenty of spice throughout, but even more so there is plenty of world building. Some of the scenes are so beautifully described that you feel like you are in the world with them. One particular scene that is not a spoiler involves a fun game of catching glowing fae (the fae are enjoying this game as well and is not cruel) with lots of laughter involved. I could just feel the joy everyone was having during a small break between the seriousness of revolution to take place. 

I found myself really rooting for Mareina to end up with one of the males, only to decide maybe I wanted her with the other. Even days later I am not entirely sure, but one thing for sure is I can not wait for this series to continue at the end of summer because it does leave with a cliff hanger.
