The Crown
by Kiera Cass
You don't go into a series like The Selection without wanting a happy ending. The premise and everything about each of the books screams YES PLEASE. And that's exactly what we got.
Admittedly, most of us hated Eady in The Heir. What a spoiled brat. She did not deserve all those kind men who were vying for her heart (and crown). But I urge you not to give up because her story seems so different than her mom and dad's. Because it is, since it's HER story.
I think you'll see a different side of her if you give The Crown a chance. This book is as much a book of Illea's growth as it is Eady's. It's wonderful to see it happen side by side.
Overall, The Crown ties up everything with a neat little bow and is satisfying. It's what you want in a series ending, especially since the novellas took place previously. And the epilogue is perfect. Not too much, not too little.
