180 Seconds

I don't know if I was in an emotional mood as I listened to this audiobook ... but I was downright sobbing several times throughout. I will remember this book and think back on it fondly. My only complaint is that most of the main characters are just TOO good. There is Allison, who suffered through the foster care system, to finally be adopted at age 16. Although she's got some quirks, she's pretty perfect, despite it all. Her adoptive father is really just too good to be true. Beyond the whole adopting a troubled teen, he's always putting her first, sending gift-boxes to her college dorm, a gourmet cook, always there for her. Then there is Esben ... and wow, he is SO good and amazing. The relationship with the best friend, and the sister. While there are troubles and trials, these people are just too perfect throughout. But ... sometimes that's nice in a story.
From a parental perspective (or "do I recommend this to my mother" thoughts) there was some sex, although nothing super explicit, it was a little more than some would be comfortable with. No/little language (that I recall).
