I liked this better than the first. Still tons of angst, but it wasn’t so much teen angst but trauma of healing old wounds. I admit I skipped over a lot of the villains dialogue as it was long and far too crazy religious babbling for my attention span to be able to endure. Overall, I’m glad I didn’t stop the series. And while I loved certain aspects of the last book, this one was much more rounded overall and I enjoyed having characters in their upper 30’s/early 40’s to focus on.
