Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
5.0

In perspective, as this is my second(or third I don't remember) time reading this, this book is quite confusing. Given the fact that Patch can put thoughts and images into Nora and everyone else's minds he can literally manipulate every situation and might in fact be. Going back through every conversation between Nora and Patch there's always a few things where Nora says something like, "i don't know why I said that." or, "the words just flowed from my mouth." which makes me suspicious that maybe the entire book and romance is all Patch's creation. Would Nora even like Patch if he didn't goad her into it. It is also difficult to keep track of the "bad guy" in this book. You are constantly trying to figure out who the antagonist is in this book-is it Elliot, or Jules/Chauncey, or Patch, or Dabria/Mrs. Greene? I don't even know. The details about angel powers and such are a little sketchy too. Like how did Nora even survive in the end I have know idea. Like what. What happened to Chauncey? I don't know I still don't understand how he is immortal and how Nora is also nephilim or whatever. I just arurghhrr.
I really like the idea behind the story and the exciting events and the constant not know what will happen next but even after everything has happened I don't understand what actually happened.
Pros of this book: Patch. He rides a motorcycle. And like the angsty teenage angel he is he wears all black and only all black. Black like my soul.
I don't even know anymore this isn't even a review it's more a rant of how confused I am by this book.
