I attempted this book but had a stop about 3 chapters in and read something else. I was wasn't in the mood for this but wanted to give it a fair chance.
For the first half I felt like this was missing something. I was interested in the story and the atmosphere was definitely there. But something was missing for me.
However the second half really picked up for me. I was more interested. Especially with the twist regarding Hazel. I should have seen it coming. I think it helped me stay interested.
