The Life of Galileo by Bertolt Brecht
4.5
dark emotional inspiring

Life of Galileo was such a fun read. As a baby leftie, it was great to see how Brecht explored his Marxist beliefs through this historical text. The character of Galileo came to life so vividly throughout the play. There were so much richness and emotion to every scene in this play and the thematic depth of it all really moved me.

Honestly, I'm so pissed that the in-class discussions I had surrounding this book were so lacklustre in comparison to the book itself. I really need to read more plays outside of the school context because I always love the experience.
