Know My Name
by Chanel Miller
This book was somehow a punch in the stomach and comforting hug - I don’t know how else to describe it.
It has been a long time since a book has left me breathless, knowing the only way to find my breath was to keep reading. I didn’t even stop reading while I ate dinner. Why was I so hungry to read a story to which I already knew the ending? To bear witness Chanel’s strength and vulnerability, to not see those traits as mutually exclusive was to recognize those traits in myself.
