It would have been better to read this shortly after reading book #2. I read book #1 in March 2022 and book #2 in May 2022, and I loved them. However, it's been a year since then, and I had trouble following along with book #3. Usually I'm annoyed when an author spends too much time rehashing information, but this time I was confused and could have used more reminders. Another review mentioned something similar and suggested that the plotline was being carried too far forward. I agree. I'm not as excited for the next installment as I have been for the previous books.
