This is a short, quick read about an indigenous person named Tali Nohkati, that chronicles his life from a child to an elderly man. The story is well written, and I enjoyed all of the characters, especially the spirits and animals. It does end rather abruptly, however I believe there are several more books in the series.

From what I can tell, the author herself is not indigenous (she is french), but it seems as though she did do research into indigenous cultures to aid her writing.

Many thanks to Koza Belleli, Dorine Heller, Black Rose Writing, & Netgalley for providing me with an ARC.
